See what other's are saying

From Mike Dabdahl Texas, USA

“The heart of Africa, a whispered dream, Botswana rises, a golden gleam. Where sky meets land in boundless grace, A wild, untamed, majestic space. Echoes of the Wild The Okavango, a watery maze, Reflects the sun in shimmering haze. Through channels deep, the mokoro glides, Where hippos grunt and secret life hides. The lion's roar, a primal sound, Vibrates through the sun-baked ground. Graceful giraffes with lofty stare, Nibble acacia in the dry, hot air. The elephant, a titan grand, Walks softly on this ancient land. Herds of zebra, a striped array, Gallop across the close of day. Wings in the Sapphire Sky Above, the fish eagle, keen and bright, Dives for its prey in dazzling light. The lilac-breasted roller, a jeweled delight, Flashes its colors in glorious flight. From tiny sunbirds to cranes so tall, A symphony of calls enthralls us all. Each feather, each song, a wondrous art, Woven into Botswana's beating heart. Guides of the Wilderness But deeper still, the magic grew, Through eyes that saw the world anew. Keller., with patient tread, Unveiled the secrets we had read. His voice low, his knowledge vast, Of creatures wild, from first to last. He spoke of habits, calls, and signs, Unraveling nature's intricate designs. From distant tracks to feathered wing, The wisdom that your spirit bring Transformed our journey, made it profound, On Botswana's sacred, hallowed ground. A Debt of Gratitude For every insight, every view, Our heartfelt thanks, Keller, to you. You opened our eyes, you filled our souls, With wonders that forever hold A special place, a memory bright, Of Botswana's wild and guiding light. With gratitude “

Ketshegile Keller - Incredible Guide

We had the great fortune of having “Keller” as our Guide during our time at Mababe Camp in the Okavango Delta region of Botswana. Keller was extremely knowledgeable about local wildlife and shared interesting facts and information about each species we encountered and described their behaviors; he was able to identify all bird species without consulting a birding guidebook; and he has a depth of knowledge of local vegetation and plants. Keller also provided an excellent presentation on the Okavango Delta and interesting facts about Botswana for the

guests.

He is an expert driver, navigating along the dirt roads at speed, and his knowledge of the network of roads and the labyrinth of trails allowed him to navigate to the prime wildlife viewing locations with ease. In 3 short days, Keller showed us a pride of 7 lions (2 makes and 5 female), several leopards, jackals, hyenas, and a pack of 12 painted dogs with puppies (a very rare sight indeed), in addition to the numerous herds of elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebra, crocodiles, Cape buffalo, impalas, waterbuck, baboons, warthogs, etc,.  Each time we arrived at a game viewing location he positioned the truck in such a way to maximize photographic opportunities. He also carefully evaluated the animals’ behaviors to avoid stress, minimize any potential aggression and to keep guests safe. Keller is also clearly

well-connected with other local guides, each sharing information and locations of big game sightings, which translated into productive outings with incredible wildlife sightings.

If you have the pleasure of having Keller as your wildlife guide, you are guaranteed to have the adventure of a lifetime.
